CRYO LC Requirements

Client & Operator Safety are key components for a successful recovery & cryotherapy business.

That's why we have set out to assist our customers with the implementation of proven safety standards & regulations that create a safe work environment.

The Facilities

The basic requirements for cryotherapy facilities and how to find out if your facilities are suitable.

Localized cryotherapy devices that use liquid nitrogen as a coolant can only be operated in a sufficiently large room that meets the criteria of accommodating nitrogen storage tanks.

The recommended floor area is 160 – 210 ft² / 15 – 20 m².

New projects may require an on-site risk-assessment. Especially recommended in confined facilities.

In some cases, we may offer an online risk assessment. You will need to fill out a questionnaire followed up with a video conference.

Most LN2 suppliers offer risk assessments.

Contact Us if you’d like to arrange an on-site or online risk assessment.

The Installation

Physical requirements for transporting the CRYO XC™ into your facilities and making regular deliveries of refilled storage vessels.

The CRYO LC is pre-installed and thanks to its size, it can be operated in nearly any type of room.

What needs to be considered within the facilities:

Access for/to the nitrogen vessels from the outside or the refilling zone to the vessel storage room.

Installing in basements is possible but requires additional adjustments and safety measures.

The Safety Measures

The safety measures that ensure that the facilities are safe for operation.

The CRYO LC uses liquid nitrogen to cool down the air applied on the body.

Although, nitrogen use in localized cryotherapy devices is minimal compared to whole body equipment, the required storage vessel is usually filled to at least 50 liters which necessitates some form of safety measures.
